# Users

There are two types of users:

* local users
* LDAP users (refer to how setup [LDAP authentication)](/backup-and-recovery-7.4/administration/settings/settings.md#authentication)

To create a new user, click the button on the right ![](/files/syXkrK8n9yYyqGVLHr3R)

Complete the following parameters:

* First Name
* Last Name
* Password
* Timezone
* Language

Save, and now you can add this account to the specific group. In the Groups section, click on the name of the group and add a user.
