Storware Backup and Recovery 7.3
Storware now supports secondary backup destinations for Verge backup. This enhancement improves data protection by allowing backups to be stored in two separate locations, increasing resilience and reducing the risk of data loss. With this feature, Storware ensures greater redundancy and supports more robust disaster recovery strategies.
Storware Backup and Recovery now allows users to select which existing security group to assign to a restored VM in OpenStack environments. During the restore process, users can choose from a list of available security groups, opt to create a new security group from the backup or the environment, or select to skip restoring the security group entirely. This enhancement supports advanced use cases, such as cross-OpenStack restores, and provides greater flexibility and control over post-restore network security configurations.
Storware Backup and Recovery now supports multiattach volumes in OpenStack environments. This enhancement allows volumes that are attached to multiple virtual machines to be backed up and restored reliably, aligning with OpenStack’s native multiattach functionality. It improves compatibility with complex workloads and shared storage scenarios.
This release includes performance optimizations in the Storage area of the server, resulting in faster operations, improved responsiveness, and more efficient handling of backup and restore tasks. These enhancements contribute to a smoother user experience and better scalability in environments with large storage configurations.
Storware Backup and Recovery now enforces a single node per Microsoft 365 configuration, ensuring consistent management and reducing the risk of conflicts during backup and restore operations. This change improves reliability, simplifies configuration, and aligns with Microsoft 365’s connection handling best practices.
Storware Backup and Recovery now optimizes the restore process by detecting files with identical checksums and transferring them only once. During restoration, these files are copied to the appropriate locations without redundant data transfer, significantly improving performance and reducing network and storage usage.
A new filter modal has been introduced across all list views, providing a more consistent and user-friendly experience when filtering data. This enhancement improves navigation, makes it easier to find specific entries, and streamlines interaction with large datasets throughout the Storware Backup and Recovery interface.
The Mounted Backup details view now uses the same layout and styling as the VM details view, providing a consistent and intuitive user experience. This update improves usability, making it easier to navigate and understand mounted backup information with a familiar interface.
