# LDAP users

Storware Endpoints allows you to import (synchronize) users from the LDAP server (e.g. Active Directory). Users will be able to use their LDAP login and password to log into the server using the Storware Endpoints client.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** Go to the [Endpoints Settings](https://github.com/Storware/backup-and-recovery-manual/blob/master/administration/settings/endpoints.md) section to learn how to configure the LDAP synchronization.
{% endhint %}

Once the LDAP server has been configured properly, you can import users to the Storware Endpoints server. Click the **Synchronize** button and confirm you want to import all users.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** If the user account is disabled on the LDAP server, then on the Storware Endpoints server the account will have a status of locked.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.storware.eu/70/administration/endpoints/organization-admin/users/ldap-users.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
